ChicFlix is a one-day workshop on beginner film making, run by women, for women, at SAE Auckland's Parnell based studios.

The workshop includes four hands-on sessions:

  • Green Screen - Students will be introduced to camera operation and lighting, setting up a scene and filming in front of a green screen.

  • Lighting & FX - Students will put together a camera and lighting setup and be introduced to working with special FX.

  • Video Editing - Students will be given a green screen video to edit, and learn how to use the colour keying tool in Adobe Premiere Pro to replace the background with another image / video.

  • Audio Post Production - An introduction to sound for film and TV, including location sound, miking actors, foley and the basics of working with Pro Tools.

 

Lunch is provided, as well as tea and coffee throughout the day.You don't need to bring anything other than a sense of curiosity and creativity.
