SAE Creative Media Institute (SAE) in Auckland is excited to be one of the key sponsors of the 2020 Aotearoa Music Producers Series (AMPS) alongside the other major industry players - NZ on Air, Recorded Music New Zealand, The New Zealand Music Commission and the Music Producers Guild NZ.

Sponsoring the industry event for their third year, SAE Auckland is supporting AMPS 2020 to run a series of 10 one-day music production workshops at the prestigious Roundhead Studios in Auckland from October 26th to November 6th.

Facilitating intimate meet-and-greet style tutorials with each producer, the past two years have seen production gurus from all around the globe come to Auckland for this event. 2020 will be a little different, celebrating local talented producers from Aotearoa.

Greg Haver, Lead Organiser for AMPS is looking forward to hosting an array of passionate participants at the upcoming workshops, which will also be celebrating a relaunch from the previously known New Zealand Music Producer Series (NZMPS).

“The Aotearoa Music Producer Series was set up to provide annual workshops and public seminars for producers to meet, discuss the craft, network, also to learn new skills and approaches in the recording of music,” Greg said.

“The continued support of SAE Auckland along with the wider music industry has enabled this year to take place... The skills that are learnt and the information shared at AMPS is invaluable in the production of music.”

SAE Auckland has quickly established itself as a leader in music production, with their Diploma in Electronic Music Production and Bachelor of Music Production now in the third year of delivery. 

SAE Auckland Director Dr Suzette Major described the event sponsorship as “the perfect fit”. “We have been on board with AMPS from the outset - the year this industry event began was the very year that SAE started teaching formal qualifications in Music Production”.
