SAE AUCKLAND OPEN DAY SCHEDULED FOR 14 SEPTEMBER 2019

23 Jul 2019

SAE Auckland is throwing open its doors on 14 September 2019 for their 2019 Open Day. Based in Parnell, Auckland, the SAE Open Day allows an opportunity to do a full tour of all SAE’s state-of-the-art studio facilities. Tours will be led throughout the day by SAE campus staff, who will also give short presentations about all available programmes, potential careers in the industry and the achievements of SAE alumni.

A world-class provider in the creative industries,  SAE Creative Media Institute (SAE) offers hands-on, industry focused training in Music Production, Audio Production and Screen Production. The SAE qualifications are revolutionary, with teaching taking place within professional studios and student learning through a project based learning approach. Students even have to clock up hours in industry as part of their degrees. Qualifications on offer include Bachelor of Audio Production, Diploma of Audio Production, Bachelor of Music Production, Diploma of Electronic Music Production, Bachelor of Screen Production and Diploma of Screen Production.

If this sounds like a dream you are ready to make a reality in 2020, the 2019 SAE Open Day is a chance for aspiring creatives to tour the facilities, meet the staff and discuss all aspects of studying with SAE. On Saturday 14th September there is no schedule – simply turn up any time between 10am and 3pm and join one of the campus tours. While SAE programmes do have minimum age requirements, the event is open for all ages, so family members are welcome.

With the first year of tertiary study being “fees free” there has never been a better time to be forgoing a career in the creative industries. As explained by Campus Director Dr Suzette Major: “The SAE reputation is genuinely world-renowned and the global creative industries are screaming out for industry ready professionals. It's really no surprise that demand for our courses is so high.”

While there are no further enrolments being taken for 2019, the SAE enrolment team is busy processing applications that are flooding in for 2020. “We are looking for highly committed and creative applicants who truly want to be here,” said Academic Manager Dr Stephen Small. “With selection criteria now being applied it might be a little tougher to get into SAE, but those that do go on to forge extraordinary careers.”
