Families of students will be welcomed on to SAE campus this Wednesday May 3, 12pm – 6pm

SAE Creative Media Institute Auckland is throwing open its doors to the families of SAE students next week.

This is the first time the Institute has invited students to bring their families on to campus for a day dedicated exclusively to giving whanau an inside look at what goes on behind the studio glass and inside the lecture rooms.

Classes will be running as usual, which will give students the chance to demonstrate what they are learning and give family members an insight into the studios in which they spend so much of their time.

Visitors are welcome to sit in on classes and will also be given the chance to talk with SAE staff.

Dr Suzette Major, campus director, says SAE staff are thrilled to be able to offer this rare glimpse into everyday life at SAE.

“We are well-aware that the success of our students rests heavily on the support of their families and loved ones. This is a chance for their families to see what SAE is all about,” says Dr Major.

“SAE staff often have students ask them if they can bring in their mum or partner or children to look around campus. This can be difficult on most days, which is why we decided to hold a dedicated day just for whanau to visit. For anyone else who is interested in SAE, it’s best to come and have a guided tour of our campus on our dedicated Open Day on Saturday June 10th.”

SAE delivers creative media education to more than 10,000 students at 53 campuses in 27 countries. SAE New Zealand offers tertiary qualifications in audio engineering and filmmaking, including the Bachelor of Recording Arts, the Diploma of Audio Engineering, a Certificate in Electronic Music Production, the Diploma in Filmmaking and the Bachelor of Film Arts.
